University of Fine Arts and Design Bratislava, Slovakia: Current

The first submission is a part of a new series based on Latin proverbs I find still relevant today. Cave deus videt, meaning Beware god’s watching, is a commentary on the current state of society or at least Europe. Where many countries are limiting personal freedoms and monitoring their citizens in the name of fighting the pandemic i.e. “For the greater good”. I find it necessary to point out the Orwellian nature of these measures. Even though they might be helpful now, we should never lose sight of how easy it is for things to get out of hand if they are done in the name of the greater good.

The other two submissions are a part of a previous series called Welcome to the Trip
inspired by Bratislava and its socialist landmarks.
