Aimee is an autistic comic artist and illustrator from Leeds, UK. Through studying her current PhD Creative Arts programme her art has developed in many ways and has allowed her to explore her love of watercolours and digital art.

Since her autism diagnosis in 2019, Aimee has been determined to expand current knowledge of autism by creating awareness of autism in women and the challenges they face. By completing her PhD and developing it into a comic book format she hopes not only to assist to provide visibility for these individuals but a readable source of information, in hopes of encouraging those undiagnosed to pursue a diagnosis.

Aimee lives with her family, two dogs and likes to play tag rugby for the disability Castleford Tigers team on Wednesdays, read and everything horror.

The three pieces of artwork were done traditionally before being moved to an iPad for line work and colouring. The first is an experimental comic book cover, the second an illustration depicting the dangers of technology addiction, and the last is a funny comic.
